Access the MusicPlayground® Trivia Quiz through the MusicPlayground player or from the website at http://www.MusicPlayground.com, answer the six questions found on the Trivia Quiz page, and complete and submit the Trivia Quiz registration, anytime between November 12, 2001 and January 31, 2002. Limit one Trivia Quiz registration per person. Anyone entering invalid personal information or multiple registrations will be disqualified from the sweepstakes drawing. Earn one sweepstakes entry for each Trivia Quiz question answered correctly. Browse the MusicPlayground website for help in finding Trivia Quiz answers. To improve your score and earn additional entries up to a maximum of six, you may take the Trivia Quiz as many times as you'd like. Correct answers will remain in the database as part of your score; your best overall score will be what counts. See the Refer A Friend section below for information on earning additional sweepstakes entries and Instant Prizes. In order to track your progress through the Quiz and properly record your score, your browser must be set to accept cookies. Promotion ends 11:59 pm ET January 31, 2002. No submissions will be accepted after this deadline, for any reason. For the purposes of the sweepstakes deadline, the sole determinant of the current time will be the clock on the promotion server machine, regardless of what any other timekeeping device might indicate. Entrants attempting to submit an entry close to the deadline do so at their own risk and with this information in mind.

2. REFER-A-FRIEND: Click a Refer A Friend link and follow the directions to invite your friends to participate, and earn a chance to win a daily Instant Prize. One Instant Prize of either a MusicPlayground hat or t-shirt will be awarded daily to a Quiz participant referring a friend to the promotion. The referring player will also earn a sweepstakes entry for each referred friend who accesses the Trivia Quiz via the link in the referral email and completes the Quiz registration.

3. DRAWINGS: Trivia Quiz sweepstakes prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the promotion to winners drawn from all eligible entries. Winners will be determined via random drawings by PROMOSIS, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions in all matters relating to this promotion are final. Potential winners will be notified by email to the address provided during registration, with follow-up documentation sent by US mail from PROMOSIS, Inc. Entering incorrect or invalid email addresses in the registration process will result in disqualification. Potential winners must respond to the email notification within 5 days, or forfeit the prize. Potential major winners will be asked to sign an affidavit of eligibility and publicity release that must be returned and received within 14 days of the date mailed to potential winner, or an alternate winner may be selected. Odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.

4. SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: $5,000 cash. Two (2) First Prizes: A Les Paul Vintage Sunburst guitar autographed by Roger Daltrey of The Who®, with gig bag (approximate retail value = $3,675); and a black Gibson® Thunderbird bass guitar autographed by Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue®, with gig bag (approximate retail value = $2,240). Approximate retail value of each First Prize does not include collector's value of autograph. One (1) Second Prize: A concierge service "night on the town" for the winner and up to nine (9) friends, including limo and dinner at a restaurant/club local to the winner's home. Approximate retail value of Second Prize = $2,000. Twenty-five (25) Third Prizes: A $50 Tower Records® gift certificate (approximate retail value = $50). Fifty (50) Fourth Prizes: A case of Dr Pepper® soda (approximate retail value = $9).

Eighty-one (81) Refer A Friend Instant Prizes: A MusicPlayground hat or t-shirt (approximate retail value = $15). Forty-one (41) hats and Forty (40) t-shirts will be awarded instantly, one per day, to a player completing the Refer A Friend component (see paragraph 2.) Limit one instant prize and one sweepstakes prize per person. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted, except by sponsor in the event of unavailability. Second Prize must be scheduled and completed by January 31, 2003, and is subject to scheduling availability. Winners are solely responsible for all foreign and United States federal, state, and local taxes on the value of their prizes.

5. ELIGIBILITY: The sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States (except residents of NY & FL) who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of MusicPlayground Inc., its parent company, subsidiaries, respective affiliates, advertising and public relations agencies, PROMOSIS, Inc., and their immediate families, as well as individuals living in the same households of such employees, are ineligible. Entrants agree to the release and use of their name, address, and email information to PROMOSIS, Inc. for winner notification purposes and for public winner disclosure as required by law, only. All other aspects of MusicPlayground's privacy policy are in effect. The sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law or regulation, and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. By entering the sweepstakes, participants agree to be bound by these official rules.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Sponsor, its promotion partners, independent judging organization, and their affiliates are not responsible for typographical errors in any promotion-related materials; for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries or email; for technical, hardware, software, Internet, or telephone failures of any kind; for lost or unavailable network connections; or for failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions that may limit or interfere with a participant's ability to take part in the promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the promotion at any time in its sole discretion, including if fraud or technical failure compromises the integrity of the promotion, or corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor, its promotion partners, related companies, agencies, and their respective employees or officers shall not be liable for injury, losses, damages, or costs of any kind resulting from participation in this promotion, or acceptance of or use or misuse of a prize or parts thereof. In addition to the foregoing, by participating in the sweepstakes, you will be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Terms of Use of the MusicPlayground website.
